- 5Eat fresh pineapple. Pineapple is not only an anti-inflammatory agent that can fight fever, but the juice also prevents dehydration.
- 6Mix raisins in water. Put 3/4 cup chopped raisins in 7 1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil, then simmer until the water has been reduced by one-third. Drink a little of this several times a day to keep yourself hydrated during a fever.
- 7Mix basil in tea. Mix 1 teaspoon basil with 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Put the mixture into a cup of water and add 1 teaspoon honey. Drink this two to three times a day.
- 8Enjoy oregano tea. Steep 1 teaspoon each of oregano and marjoram in a pint of boiling water for 30 minutes. You can drink this warm a couple of times each day.
